I'm sure the host can easily correct this in future bookings. Check out was not very pleasant because I had to make an additional payment. Host forgot to mention or maybe I missed the fact that electricity and internet are not included in the price which was very unexpected. With all fairness the apartment is just as described and all the other reviews are accurate. I was not aware that electricity usage was an additional cost but it wasn't that expensive. We were a 7 minute walk from the beach and about the same to numerous restaurants. The room was great and the location perfect.
Jean Francois was very helpful and accommodating. This didn't impact hugely on my view of the stay but a cup of tea after a long journey is always good. Some things that were not provided were tea bags, and other small condiments. The toilet drain can also have a slight smell but this I expected in Phuket. The shower head only sits one way which leads to the bathroom being soaked every time you shower. The apartment is very quiet which is surprising as it is on a side road which is off a very busy road. The apartment is in a slightly quieter part of Patong and is only a short motorbike taxi to the busy party streets Baht. Jean also provides guests with a microwave, kettle, and toaster. The pool is exactly as pictured and has a beautiful view. The apartment itself is exactly as shown in the pictures. We had a lovely stay at Jean's apartment in Patong. Overall, 5 out of 5 and 6 out of 5 for location and interior. Plenty of restaurants available as well as a couple of grocery stores the one in the pizzeria building seems less pricey. The shared pool is nice and very well maintained Location is the real pearl - walking to the beach with kids stroller takes not more than 4 minutes "door to door", that is really hard to find in Phuket where many places require a motobike to get to the beach. Small private terrase is wonderful for outdoor breakfast. Apartment is bigger than in pictures, quite spacious. This is clearly the second case - a real home away from home, very tastefully decorative and great to live in. There are apartments designed for leasing and apartments designed for living.
